It seems like every coach has been good at Boise. Chris Peterson was really the only one so far- Harsin will get his chance now of course- to maintain elite status post Boise.

That's what I'm thinking too. This has to be disappointing to auburn fans. Who knows though.

Harsin won or shared the Mountain West title at Boise 6 out of 7 years and only won less than ten games once (if you don’t count this season where they only played 9 games). That’s a pretty solid hire on paper. He has accomplished a hell of a lot more than Lane Kiffin, who their fans wanted.

Yeah not sure why people think this isn?t a solid hire. I?d take him over Leach. Pretty sure he replaced Freeze at ASU too after he left

Is he an upgrade from gus? I think minimal if so. Certainly not worth 21 million dollars to make the trade from Gus to harsin.

Not sure this is much of a big upgrade. He has sustained Boise but they aren?t what they used to. Auburn fans wanted kiffin? lol I?m still trying to figure out what he has done as a head coach. He was fired from USC where he couldn?t win with talent and was 6-6 at Tennessee. He won at FAU because he got talent that was way above the rest of the conference

Sooooo....let me get this straight. You fire Gus, and then you hire a guy who?s concepts in a lesser league are no better then the guy you just fired in the SEC. AU can do better then that BS, but this is exactly why they will always stay where they are in the pecking order in the West. They have the money to hire better, but there Cigar Boys are their biggest problem!
