I think it?s an excellent Bill James type of sign. He will get pitched outside, he has enough power to hit it over in RF at Fenway. How many balls has he hit to LF that died? Now they will hit off the Green Monster and become doubles (and he?s fast enough to make it to 2B on certain bounces). He can DH and play the COF.

Very happy about this.. and as you said it plays to his strengths when he puts the ball in play.

He was traded to the Padres in season, the declined his option. Currently a FA

That was Nate Lowe. There was some early talk that the Rangers might sign him, but not any more.
