If the committee puts Ohio State in, then we may as well just call it the CFB Invitational because it wouldn't be earned in anyway

The committee will use the excuse that it's the best teams not the conference Champs to put them in.

Eta: I think ND and Clemson both have better arguments for being in than Ohio State but I don't believe the committee will keep Ohio State out.

If Ohio st doesn't win the big10 championship game, they won't be in playoffs imo. They probably should be though bc they're a top 3 team

If Ohio st doesn't win the big10 championship game, they won't be in playoffs imo. They probably should be though bc they're a top 3 team

The CFB playoff can't exist if they're just going to put in undeserving teams.

The CFB playoff can't be a recruiting award and, if Ohio State is put in without an adequate resume, a recruiting award is exactly what it'll be.

ETA... it's moot though bc I don't think they're in unless they win the big10 championship

But that's not the point. If that's how we're going to choose teams, then the season is pointless. May as well not even play any regular season games.

Agree that there is some balance between "best team" and "resume" but IMO 5 games doesn't meet the standard.

If they play 5, they'll play 6 bc they'll qualify for championship

True. If they're Big 10 champs with 6 wins, then I think they can make it.
