So, SEC is rescheduling our game vs Mizzou next week & Ole Miss' game vs LSU is also being rescheduled.

So, why wouldn't we push back the Egg Bowl for a week & prevent this?

Why do you want to push the game back? We have everyone available except for SAM LB. There's no guarantee we won't have more cases before Mizzou.

Davis and Wheat are more than just a SAM LB

Good point on there being no guarantee that we won't have more cases next week

We and Ole Miss are the only 2 schools in the SEC not playing next week, so apparently they are at least leaving the possibility open for postponement.

True. They could be keeping both of us open in the event that something goes wrong later today or tomorrow morning

It is more of a chance Ole Miss will before us or maybe they are using a different type test.

If we don't play next week then there is a good chance we don't play Missouri unless we play day of SEC championship, Friday or Thursday before or the following Saturday.

I think their will be a number of games on the 19th

The 19th will be a bunch of 3/4 win teams playing. Can't distract from the big game.

The good news is that the week off following the Egg Bowl actually helps us vs Auburn & Mizzou. We'll have time to recover emotionally win or lose

Or Cohen & Keenum are looking to MAX out the revenues from the SEC thinking that since they played 90% of our schedule (and maybe even 100% if we can get Aubie game in) that we can reap one of the larger shares come revenue distribution time.

It probably won't happen, but the SEC should let us schedule a non-conference game on 12/5, under the guise of recouping lost revenue.

UMass doesn't have a game next week and is begging for anyone to play. A glorified scrimmage would be a lot of crucial reps.

I like the way you think.

We used to take up to a two hour bus ride in high school with our football pants, cleats etc on and have shoulder pads, jersey and helmet sitting either on bus seat with us or in an old army duffel bag back in the 80?s

Except Mississippi has not lost the players to transfer, opt out or injury that we have.

Has ole miss recorded any positive tests this season? If not...that’s really questionable

I believe their ACT fixer has found a new gig and is administering the OM Covid tests.

I may be wrong, but wasn't all the rescheduling sort of Alabama-centric - so they could have their important games and move everybody else around and priortize them?

What they should do is let our guys that have been quarantined for more than 10 days and did not test positive yesterday, play.

After all the number of days is a guess, at best.

Saban came back in under a week.
