After watching MSU for 50 years, it is hard to believe the below 2 stats.

After 7 games, our leading rusher has 147 yards rushing on the season.

After 7 games, we have a player with 19 receptions on the season, which is only good for 8th on the team.

Record is 2-5, so the more things change, the more they stay the same.

DO end results = "the same" though?

Person A comes from a poor family and makes very little money. Person B inherited $10M but blew it all on hookers, blow, travel, racecars, and gambling. now he's poor too. But I don't think these 2 are "the same"

We should all pump the brakes and look at the trend to end the season. If last week carries through the end of the season, everyone will feel much better about next year

We have a brand new coach and offense. We have players for a run first offense. We basically had a PlayStation offseason to implement and learn a brand new offense. We should just treat 2020 like an extended preseason and see what 2021 looks like. If it still looks bad, then worry.

So remind me again which one is Leach era? Everyone said Leach would be fun so I guess he is the 10MM dollar guy?

Totally agree, but I'll predict that we finish strong offensively.

Defensively, I'm not sure & that may prevent us from winning, but defense isn't my worry going forward because 1. It's only a question due to COVID & opt outs, & 2. We usually have access to enough defensive players in-state & through JUCO to be good enough

No doubt. Defense will be there no matter what. May get tested this week, but the ones we have left have a lot of fight in them.

The offense seems to be progressing as if they had a spring to learn it, and we are just starting the season. The Cowboy looks good too. Just have to keep getting reps and improving.

I'll be thrilled if we can carry over what we did 2+ quarters vs Georgia the rest of the season. I just wanna see our offensive be competitive

No doubt.

This year was never about our record IMO. It was all about getting the offense rolling in year 0 of Leach. Looks like we're on the cusp. Do it again Saturday, & I'm going to feel pretty good about our direction under Leach.

I've never cared less about who wins or loses the Egg Bowl this year because of our COVID excuse & the meaningless of this season. I just want to see us get over the hump offensively in what really is Year 0

I think having Walley, Heath, & our OL on the field at the same time could be huge

If we play the rest of the season like we did against Georgia, we win out the rest of the year.
