How safe/protective are these modern helmetS?

30 years ago when I played, we wore Bike helmets. Then riddell came out with a helmet that was lighter. I remember making the switch from bike to riddell in the spring. I was back in a bike by fall because those riddells were light but so thin I felt every lick. .

I can't help but wonder as I have seen three concussions in two games I've watched. Costello was knee to head. Marks was cause by the ground. Now it looks like dantzler was a blow from a hip. Dude in titans looked TKO from a shoulder pad to the helmet.

Maybe it isn't the helmet. Maybe these guys are to big and strong.

Pam Oliver just came on and said Cam had full movement in his extremities and was taken to a local hospital as a precaution. Praise The Lord!
