I'm going to watch Baylor/Hud/NFL first so please no thread spoilers for Oregon. Thanks. This won't work.

Ty Montgomery is sick. It pisses me off so bad he wanted to come to state and we whiffed on him.

I'm not saying I want to do away with the spread offense, but I miss lining up under center with a fullback. I didn't realize that I enjoyed downhill running until recently.

Watching Stanford run the ball down Oregon's throat makes me realize that Bama would beat the hell out of Oregon.

Exactly. Fsu-bama would be much better matchup

I agree completely. I hope we get to see that game

Oregon is a finesse team that is getting punched in the mouth. Oregon is soft

It seems like college football at the highest level is like a game of Rock paper scissors: Power, speed, and finesse. Finesse beats power if power doesn't play well, power usually beat speed, and speed and power beat finesse if they play well.

Oregon is a good team, but this style of football doesn't beat top of the line power teams. Well executed power football is kryptonite to Oregon's style.

Seems like someone mentioned some of these observations earlier today!

I really thought UCLA exposed them. Not in the final score, but in the reality of that game for 3 quarters...

Yup, Stanford plays a lot like AL. Hopefully Oregon gets beat.

Stanford uses zone read to score td on Oregon. They aren't just beating Oregon. Stanford is showing them up so far

Just noticed Oregon holds big time on screens to the outside... Most of those holds would be called in the SEC... Watch closely you'll see what I'm talking about....

Stanford has forced fumble in 34 straight games. That's awesome. If saban turns down texas, ut should call David shaw.

I agree with this. Furthermore, Stanford plays the style of football that Texas should play. Texas has no business trying to play finesse spread football in the Big 12. Texas can recruit better players than all those teams, and thus should run their ass over. Stanford's style would allow them do that.

Stanford is playing like we should. RTGDB, and then play action over the top. No reason with Dak that we can't play this style.

Stanford is playing grown man football.

I think they are gonna be a trend. As defenses get smaller and faster to combat spread offenses, a "new" trend will be smashmouth offense that pushes those little defenses around like men against boys.

No doubt. There is no perfect offensive scheme unless you have great players, but the best offensive scheme is the one that is the opposite of what most teams are doing.

Oregon may very well find a way to come back and win...but I think it is safe to say that all of the "Oregon is ready to break the SEC's streak!" Talk needs to STFU. Stanford is shutting their asses down right now.

When is the last time Oregon had 137 yards at half time? ugh

By the way, if Mullen is so dumb that he can't realize that Stanford is showing the perfect blue print to beat A&M this weekend, then maybe he should be fired.

Me too. It was last year actually. I miss lining up and running the ball down people's throats.

No doubt. A controlling running game is the prescription for the A&M game. Surely we will try that.

This is a straight up beat down we're witnessing. I bet Stanford would give anything for another shot at that Utah game

They just started the 4th quarter and Oregon has a starting WR crying on the sideline. These guys aren't nearly tough enough. Stanford is showing them how big boys play ball. This is embarrassing...and I am enjoying it

OT: Stanford's stadium only holds 50,000. The way it's designed it looks A LOT bigger than 50K
