My first cowbell has the Flying M logo on one side. The cowbell was entered into action for the 1981 Hall of Fame Bowl. But is retired now. Sits on my mantel with the Flying M still intact.

I really like the Flying M throwback. Nostalgia is good sometimes, and it wouldn't hurt my feelings if we did a throwback with the1991 uniforms.

Best Unis ever were of the late 70's to early 80's. Plain with the MSU on a real Maroon helmet and the dark maroon jeresys.

I agree 100%...John Bond era with the staggered MSU. I think we have gotten carried away with too many stripes on the jerseys. Especially our home maroon jerseys with the white stripes with gray inside the white stripes. Looks fine on the away jerseys but home jerseys need to be solid maroon with no gray accents, IMO.

Some people are roasting them about bitching. Not sure how much UCF has to do with NASA but we at least had a reason for doing it. MSU still produces a lot of Aerospace Engineers that work for NASA.

I've wanted us to wear these for homecoming for a long time now. Awesome to see MSU finally do it! I also hope this opens the door for more throwbacks in the future from different eras. We've certainly had more than our share of special uniforms that were usually really gaudy.

I don't want to see this in regular rotation though.
