Then just watch the Cowboys last night. When your player that touches the ball every play doesn't have it, you have to move on. Don't wait all season Leach.

To some degree you're right, but it depends on how bad the OL sucks.

The most important thing a QB must have with a not great OL is quick feet. That doesn't mean he has to be fast or a running threat, but he's got to have quick feet to manipulate the pocket.

Will Rogers has that in spades.

He can just wait til AL knocks out the starter before playing someone else. They all might have to play.

Watch the play at the 33:50 mark of this video. This was Will's best play & shows what he can do for this offense beside just getting the ball out quicker. KJ can't make this play. His feet are too slow.

As bad as our OL has been, in their defense, it's hard to block when the dl in front of you can pin his ears back and just rush the passer and not have to worry about the run.

But that's not really the issue. The main issue is guys aren't picking up their assignments.

THIS .... now every play becomes a stunt for the DL ... I think our OL is better than they are getting credit for but we are making it harder for them by not mixing things up ... usually the DL has to read run or pass so they have to hesitate and protect their hole incase of a run ... but when you take that away they are just coming like mad men

Naw, this line ain't good. You can watch them try to double team guys and not be able to do it. It's damn pathetic! That's why we're offering every OL with a damn pulse right now. We don't have the players there.

I don't buy this one bit ... so they can handle the talent on LSU's line but not that of Arky or Kentucky ? .... it's more than lack of talent

I realize OL is very hard to project, but some of these guys we're offering all of the sudden don't exactly seem like they're going to fix our problems.

There is no reason to be completely inept.

Well, LSU has proven they aren't good. They lost everything up front but one player really. Yet, they still had 5 sacks vs us and we ran for nothing. Did we really block well? Nope

aren't or can't?

Cross has done pretty good but Cross ain't a normal OL. Coming out of HS he had about the quickest feet of any OL I've ever seen. You can't count on that every year though. I don't think they can against SEC DE speed at those splits but this has been discussed beating a dead horse.

The OL didn't play overly good vs LSU. We saw relatively simple man coverage that was much easier/quicker for Costello to find the open guy. LSU still got pressure and still had some sacks/picks.

True. But they're not good. Nothing more you can say. The OL coach has a proven track record. Everyone knows Eiland and Sharp are really slow. Jackson, Cross, Dolla, & Smith have no experience. A completely new system thrown at them with no spring. Talent is marginal and scheme understanding has been slow.

We're offering every OL we can find. Looking for transfers and Juco transfers. That says a lot.

they were bringing way more than 3 down linemen ... and bringing LSU talent level linemen - AND picking up blitzes .... yes they did play well against a perennial tough opponent
