Under the new rule that went into effect Monday, if your positive is followed by 3 negatives over a 72 hour period the positive is deemed a false positive and you can play/coach. Saban has now had two negatives and is waiting on the third.

It's not like it matters once the game starts. So he gets to say go for it. Gives a pep talk. Being a great head coach is 98% about the other days of the year moreso than the day of the game. Obviously unless you call plays.

I wonder if he initially had a rapid test that was positive. Those tests aren't 100% reliable. You can get false positives and negatives for the flu and strep from rapid tests.

The entire testing system is botched. Even the antibody tests are coming back with false positive / negatives.

Do you have any statistics on how many are coming back false positives/negatives and how that compares to false positives/negatives with other illnesses?
