Must have a dual threat Qb.. we have one. Let GS play. He can't throw it any worse.. with Him and 8 in the backfield a 3 man front won't work.

Nah, lets keep trotting KJ out there, he's got this, Leach knows what he's doing, he just needs more time.....**

You need five people to get their thumb out of their butt and block the other three first. Without that nothing else matters.

Any decent coach knows that all defensive schemes are vulnerable in some area. A 3-man front with lineman rushing into the backfield can be exploited with dives and draws (ask any high school coach). The problem is these plays aren't in Leach's offensive philosophy. There are no TE drags. Any QB asked to constantly make 3-5 yard reads while getting pressure will eventually 17 up. That's the whole defensive philosophy of giving the short stuff in the 3-8 defense.

They are giving us the line of scrimmage. And we appear to be content trying to throw to our 5 receivers against their 8 in coverage.

I've heard "attack space" a lot leading up to the year. The space is off left and right tackle at the line if scrimmage. Until the defense respect that, it will be ugly. Our gameplan changed none after knowing for a week what they would do.

For the record, I know Leach is going to throw all day long. I'm all for throwing an air raid philosophy out there. But for the air raid to work, there has to be a threat at the line of scrimmage enough to keep them honest.

As it stands right now, we arent putting our players in the best position to be successful. I feel we are imposing odds against our own.

I saw him run plenty of draws at WSU. Not sure why we haven't run any.

No one is blitzing. Why would we run a draw.

That's how you are supposed to attack it. It makes some sense because if you execute the draw correctly the defenders will either freeze or keep dropping back and that should create space.

No one talks much about schemes now a days. They are talking match-ups. You find the one on ones and have your receiver win the contested pass. This is not the first time that defenses have been dropping 8, been doing this for decades at times. The scheme of any kind is not the answer it is the match-up of coincidence within any scheme that determine success. Consider auditing any games and find out that many receptions are executed with a defender within a yard of the receiver. Constantly looking for space and separation is a distraction from the match-up passing attack
