LSU looks like a team without coaching on both sides. Play calling is bad and defense is horrible. Muschamp might be back there next year.

Double down and don’t admit where you’ve been just blatantly wrong while starting a thread to try and claim you’re some genius and have been right about LSU. Never change C34 lol.

SEC is an offensive league now. Defense needs to be opportunistic and limit big plays.

Which is exactly what Arnett's defense is designed to do- and has so far through two games.

I was going to approach this year as fan in giving the staff the benefit of the doubt regardless of what happens. I got sucked in by the LSU victory, but I?m back to being pleasantly surprised with any positive results. Hell, any state fan with any experience should take that approach anyway!

Even I got excited after LSU and I am a huge pessimist after going through college during the Croom years. I predicted 4-6 this year which I still think will be the case. I just originally thought we would beat Ark and lose to LSU. Wins vandy, Missouri and 1 or aTm/Aub/Ole Miss

100%. They suck. Most of us expected them to be a 6-4 type team. Don't see that now.

Offense ain’t the problem for LSU. That’s easy to see. Is it anywhere close to last year? No but their offense hasn’t been the problem.

And not talking directly to you because you just said that our defense is better than expected, but if our defense sucked like most thought it would, then why would it matter if we’ve played anyone really good yet? If they sucked, LSU woulda put up more than 27 on them and UPig woulda scored more than 14. But our so-far solid defense held them to those #’s. If they sucked, they woulda given up 30+ to each of those teams.

Our defense has given up 14 and 24 points. The PPG may well end up over 30 but it's misleading.

That’s factoring in the 2 pick 6’s. Nice try. The defense is giving up 20.5 PPG.

27 vs LSU + 14 vs UPig = 20.5 PPG which is 19th in the country before this weekend.

Also 19th in yards allowed per game at around 350 ypg.

24 to LSU. They kicked a field goal after we gave them the ball on about the 15 yard line.

Yeah that’s fair, and even more so helps my point. So we’re at 19 PPG on defense.

If they sucked as bad as C34 and others preached they would, they’d still be giving up 30+ PPG and a hell of a lot more yards than 350 YPG.

Lot of ball left to play but the reason I’m going at him on this is because he preaches his opinions like their facts and when he’s wrong, he dodges it and won’t take responsibility for a crappy take. If we wind up sucking and these first couple games have been a mirage, I’ll admit I was wrong. C34 just makes excuses and creates threads like this claiming he’s right on something else.

Who has LSU played? State, Vandy, & MO. None of which are defensive juggernauts. LSU looks bad on both sides of the ball to me. Again, defense is better than I expected regardless, but I'm not sure how good yet.

Your attempt to move the goalposts to fit your narrative is hilarious. If your argument had been that our defense will be good coming into the season, you would never count the pick 6s.

Of course the official record books say that we are giving up 27.5 PPG. But anyone with any shred of common sense knows that our actual DEFENSE is only giving up 20.5 PPG.

You also said that Leach?s offense can work against zone coverage, but it would never work against SEC man to man defenses because we wouldn?t have time to get the passes off. That was laughably wrong.

Hahahaha i literally loled, thats the shittiest logic ive ever seen and you know it.

Nobody in the history of football has EVER said "our defense sucks" and actually means "Our O is really bad at not throwing pic 6s"

Does special teams "become the defense" when we punt? If ST gives up 3 returns for TDs should the D get blamed for that? Come on man

Everyone knows how it works. It doesn’t mean that it’s a misleading stat. The players you said were going to suck on our defense don’t suck (so far). Using our offense throwing pick 6‘s to prove a point about our defense is embarrassing.

LSU on O is pretty good, not great but they are averaging nearly 40 a game.

SEC looks like UGA and Bama and that is it. Everyone else is just middle of road.
