1. This coaching staff is for real and a major upgrade from the last one.
2. Give the "IB" credit for getting this hire right.
3. Team looked organized and in shape.
4. I loved the speed of play and no more of the check with me crap.
5. We have receivers that can catch.
6. We have several good young players.

7. The hell with “wait until Leach gets his players.” He kicked ass with the ones that are already here!

7. It feels great to be relevant again.

Totally agree with everything else.

Plus, I was amazed at how "disciplined" we looked -- no jumping off-sides or delay of game penalties... only Furdge's personal foul late in 4Q on 4&15 appeared "stupid" but he's young and once he runs the stadium steps on Monday, he'll learn.

The team appeared very well prepared.

And that little lapse was nothing compared to the kind of stuff we routinely saw from last year's team. I still can't believe they even called it. That doesn't even get a warning if it's a blue blood in the exact same scenario.

And all that with no spring practice. Incredible.

Will Rogers is going to set the career NCAA passing yards and touchdowns during his career.

Remember a few years ago when an Alabama defender body-slammed a guy on the other team and there was no call, even with the refs right on the spot?

One thing I noticed that hasn't been mentioned... Kylin learned how to block the blitz. Time and again he knocked the blitz off.

Marks is going to be good, but boy does he have to work on his pass blocking.

Reminds you of Kylin as a freshman.

KJ sure was lit up a couple of times due to some whiffs

Check with me...smh

Checking with Moorhead was precisely the problem.

Makes you wonder just how important is spring practice. They looked ready, ready to me.

I am going to tip my hat to Cole Smith. His first 20 minutes were not good. And you know he was hearing it from his former teammates in Death Valley. But you know what, he did what Leach has preached in his press conference. Be good the next play.

I thought he settled down and closed the game strong. Especially when things tightened up late. It isnt easy to forget a start like that and finish strong. He did today.

I may not remember writing this in the morning. It was worth it.
