But there's another disturbance in the Gulf expected to become a depression by this weekend.

Who knows... that same area has been popping around the western gom for a week. I did see today it got upgraded to what was it a 70% chance of development in next few days.

Ok just watched Levi's (tropical tidbits) update and looked at some models.. not much anticipated happening with 90L over the next 5 days or so except with the GFS (minimal storm) . All the other storms keep it in place for the weekend. A lot depends on when it gets any kind of steering guidance. For now.. it's just stuck there and not developing.

So something to watch over the weekend, once the cold front comes thru and sets up some features.

90L can kma as I’m supposed to be going to Grand Isle next Thursday. We’re had numerous storms threaten canceling the trip and just when I think we’re clear...

Ok you weather guys. I read that La Nina has come. I understand it is probably the cause of the hot and dry air out west but does it affect the gulf or atlantic?

so SVD is talking about 90L, every model this morning is showing it doing something... but there is no real consensus... so is it in 3 days or 7 days? time will tell.

It can lead to a more active tropical season. It can also suppress the spring severe season.

Euro has it following Laura's exact path and making landfall as a minimal hurricane next Thursday.

Upgraded to a disturbance. 90L is now TD 22. Will likely become Wilfred if 98L doesn't grab it first... If it does it will be Alpha.
and around and around it goes..who knows where it goes.

Are you still here in mobile area? i am being sent back to Louisiana for FEMA housing. Then most likely to California/Oregon to oversee debris removal. 2020 can't end soon enough for me.

I came back yesterday morning. I had been running on about 3 hours of sleep for the past 48 hours so when I saw the eye was going to miss Mobile and I had seen as bad as it was going to get in there I headed for home. Highest wind I measured was 67mph at my location. Eeriest part of it was seeing all the power flashes. Even when I was leaving and was several miles out of town in I-10 I was still seeing them in my rear view mirror.

Still without power in gulf shores. No one was prepared it was "going to New Orleans, Biloxi, ust a tropical storm, only a cat 1". We waited in line for ice today, that's new. Tide can turn in a hurry, and F U weather channel. All this technology, do better dammit***

That?s the reason we left the MS Coast, it looked like they had no idea where it was going and when and strength. I felt pretty silly in Jackson when our town got pretty much no weather but when I saw what it did just 45 minutes away in Mobile I was glad we left. It could have just as easily been us. Hope everything gets better quickly for you guys.

Ok bettors which model are you going to place your money on for TD22. I got mine on HMON. They have been spot on for most of the season. Hey VDog who said to head to Pensacola/Foley?
