Miss State is getting a Rep for Defensive players in the NFL. That probably has some to do with it,

He will be one day. But word is he's struggling w the playbook. And since he's played very little if any tonight, guess that's true.

I heard one of the announcers say last night that KC uses all types of defenses, formations and schemes. More than most any other team and players had to learn a lot more for them. It does sound logical that a rookie would have issues adjusting to the the LB position on that team.
