I was talking about this with my brother the other day. The teams that are not playing, will they go down since they are not winning? Or will they stay up since they are not losing? It's really dumb to rank teams that are not playing.

Per a spokesman with AP, all of the teams that opted out will drop off the list prior to season start. They were listed strictly as a reference point for the other teams.
