Severe weather today

As the remnants of Laura push off to our north, areas along and north of Highway 82 are under a slight risk for severe weather with the main threats being 60mph winds and brief tornadoes. In fact, there has already been a confirmed tornado near Oxford this morning. While any tornadoes are expected to be weak and short lived, take any warnings seriously. Also keep in mind they can be so brief no warning is ever issued. They can form and dissipate between radar sweeps or be there one sweep and gone the next.
