View Full Version : Feels like a 4-6 kind of W/L record with that schedule

Ark, Vandy, OM, Mizzou being the only Ws.

If UK was at DWS, it would be in play.

A&M and Aub will be favored even though they're home games for us.

If we go 4-6, I’m pleased. That’s a tough schedule.

4-6 to 5-5 is about what I'm thinking but who knows because home field will not be an advantage this year with small to no crowds allowed.

4 wins most likely. 5 with a lot of luck

Yeah, 5-5 is what I'm seeing too. Of course it would be hilarious if we went to Athens and thumped UGA in Leach's first year. That would be the cherry on top of this season.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

With Leach we will win a game we shouldn't, and lose a game we should win. So the four you mentioned and A&M, KY, and Aub. We take down two of those.

The best thing about the schedule is I assume we get to play Vanderbilt two years in a row and I like that we get to play Georgia twice in three years just because historically we haven't played them a lot.

Care to show us your dog impression?

I can't see 6 wins. New system, Covid issues, and defensive issues. Plus, that WR core got a lot to prove. 6 would be my absolute ceiling.

5-5 seems most likely to me.

6-4 would be a GREAT season for us in Year 1 under a drastically new scheme. I think 4-6 or 5-5 is most realistic, and if there are bowl games we would probably get invited to one with either of those records.

6 wins? That would probably mean beating Auburn and TAMU. I don?t see that happening. Winning one of those would be big for Leach

At best. I'm thinking we play at best 3-4 games though.

It would mean beating one of those, not both.

Tier 1 - Would be disastrous to lose:
Arkansas, Vanderbilt

Tier 2 - We should win, but they probably expect to beat us
@Ole Miss, @Kentucky, Missouri

Tier 3 - We have a shot, but they probably think they're a lock to beat us
Texas A&M, Auburn

Tier 4 - Very unlikely to win, barring a COVID mass quarantine
@Alabama, @LSU, @Georgia

We have a real path to 5-5.

we win 6 take it to the bank! This whole season is a cluster for everyone. this air raid is going to be a nightmare to defend!

You also have to consider that we may play teams severely handicapped with multiple players quarantined and others may play us the same way. There is potential for some massive upsets.

We would need more quality depth on defense to win 5 or more in my opinion. I'm thinking 4-6, unless our offense becomes 2017 UCF overnight.

Normal year that would e 7 to 8 wins but I think it ends up better than 4-6 pt 5-5. Leach always pulls an underdog win.

It will not matter where any of these games are played. Playing at Kentucky will be no different than playing them in Starkville.

Its a tough schedule because its all SEC games. But given the circumstances, the only way our schedule would be easier would be if we could trade out Georgia for SC. Glad to miss out on FL and TN/KY are likely about the same level of competition. So SC is the only lower level team we are missing out on.
