I'm looking at buying a sprayer for my ATV. Main purpose is spraying around pond, fence rows, etc, so obviously I want a wand for spot applications. I'm thinking a boom could also come in handy for lawn applications (~2acres).... I think 15 gallon could be big enough and I'm currently eyeing Chapin 97300 because it's ~$200 and has a double filter system. .... Most important is quality (I want it to work when I need to use it.) Anyone have suggestions or own sprayer that you love?

Chapin is a good brand. Look for a remote on/off switch to regulate when using the boom, and any tank larger than 15 gals becomes a tip over hazard

Boomless nozzles are the only way to go. You can get them that cover about 15 feet. You?ll hang that boom on everything you go by. Save yourself a few cuss words.

Bought the cheap one at harbor freight. 15 gallon. Had it 3 years now and still kicking ass with it.

Might be a good trial run to see what I like and don't like and help me down the road when buying a new one. And if I get several good years out of it then that's even better ! Thanks for that tip.

Another great tip since I'd started eye balling some 26 gallon tanks. This might be especially helpful since I have some ~30 degree hills by the pond that exacerbate this issue.

Yes I've now got Northstar brand boomless (thanks for that tip in your reply, Monroe) from Northern Tools in the running. Probably between that and Chapin if I don't take Downward's tip on Harbor Freight.
