"There is a reason I was never a
@dallascowboys fan growing up or before they drafted @dak after today, who knows how much longer I?ll be cheering for them."

This makes me think that Dak may be tired of Jerrys crap and is willing to be traded if this year doesn't pan out. Good for him. After what he has done in this community, Jerry should have made the deal happen.

Who will pay him what he wants? Not being an A Hole just asking.

I hope he is traded to the Saints selfishly after Brees retires.

What he wants is 4 years - and guaranteed 85 Mil not the 100 mil and 5. Jerry is trash for getting media people to run down his own QB

I would turn back flips if he went to the Saints

Yeah the hangup is not money- its the length of the contract

He wanted less money but a 4 yr contract, not 5. Kinda surprised by both sides... if you can get 9 years out of a QB in the NFL, that's doing pretty good. Conversely, sign for the 5 year contract and renegotiate in 3-4 years. It's done all the time.

Do we think daks market value is more than what Dallas is willing to provide him?

What a petty thing to cause this hold up, re Jerry Jones. It's not like Dak asking for 4 years is unprecedented, either.

No. It's the finer details. Teams want to save as much money as possible while still winning at a high level and the players want as much as possible.

Really not any different than any other job to be honest.

Dak will be a Vegas Raider come 2022. Aaron Rodgers will be Cowboys QB in 2022.

Daks team is looking at the fact that a 5 year deal for a franchise QB is really a 7 year deal with the tags. Dak will make more the next two years playing under a tag and having faith in his abilities than he would under the first 3 years of the 5 year offers.

The other issue Dallas has is they thought Dak would give up some contract value when they signed Zek Cooper and others to big long-term deals.

I'm a huge Dak fan, but if he doesn't have a really good season, he may not be tagged a second time. Then he will be on the open market.

Jerry way overpaid for Zeke and now he can't fit Dak into the budget. And every year that he has to franchise Dak, the more the price tag goes up and the more leverage Dak has. This has become a mess for the Cowboys that only Jerry could have created.

Not even Dak could make me root for the Saints

Dallas led the NFL in total offense in 2019 and got a WR in the 1st round. He will be fine this year

WHO DAT! Saints can't afford Dak, Drews delayed salaries are fixing to catch up with them. You have a bunch of players like Kumaro that have contracts coming up. Would love to see Dak in NO, but it ain't happening.

Yeah and if they win the Super Bowl, Jerry Jones will be like Fred Sanford "It's the big one, Elizabeth, I'm coming"! If that happens Jerry will get real humble real quick,

Saints had a monster draft with Lattimore, Marcus Williams, Kamara, and Ramcyzk. All of those guys are on their rookie deals and all have panned out. So soon they will have to sign them for big money, tag them, or let them go.

I have a hard time believing they will tag him again. The cap is not going up next year and can't prorate the money.

He would have to have a terrible season to have less value. Not even injury could drop it.

Dak Prescott is a top 10 QB in the NFL. He's going to be fine no matter what. Jerry Jones loses again.

Either Aaron Rodgers or coach Mike McCarthy ain't going to be a Cowboy. They hate each other.

I think Winston will be taking snaps for the saints next season. I'm interested in what Sean can do with him.
