I'm not overly concerned, yet. Us and OM have to be getting a little restless though.

I’m not - we’ve got a QB and some receivers which is where he’s going to make his living.

DL is a concern but that’s only group that makes me nervous right now but there aren’t a ton of instate guys this year there so we are going to have to find some diamonds in the rough there or late bloomers

The recruiting rankings aren't valid this year. Sorry they just aren't.

So many Mississippi kids are underrated to begin with & now they don't even have camps to show what they can do.

The amount of 84-85 rankings we have in the state of Mississippi is despicable & pure laziness &/or bias by 247.

Normally we're arguing that an MSU commit should be a 4 star instead of an 87-88 type, but this year those guys are all rated 84-85 which is absurd.

I just don't see anyway this class ends up with a good ranking when in-state evaluations are so off & terrible.

That could work in our favor.

That could work in our favor.

Very true. It didn't seem to help with Calloway but could with others for sure

But either way, it'll be a hindsight 20/20 class because the kids won't get ranked properly.

Additionally, I'd also say that the transfer portal is lessening to some degree the impact of recruiting rankings. It'll be interesting to see if lower recruiting ranking teams start to compete more

OM more so than us. They've swung for the fences with a lot of out of state kids and missed on essentially all of them. At least we have our QB, some receivers, and most of our secondary taken care of. Gotta get after it in the trenches though.

I think regardless of where the current recruiting class stands, Leach will be in a better position going forward after he's had a full season of seeing SEC talent up close and personal. He'll be able to make better judgements about where the program's talent level stands after that.

As if those rankings are accurate. I'm so sick of the media and their agendas. We have two juco commits that are very underscored on these political recruiting sites because they virtually don't exist to them. Leach handled this very well.

We're also winning in state. Too early to count Deion Smith and Calloway out for now as well.

Honestly, if Leach recruits as well as Mullen did we will be fine and probably better because Leach actually has balls in his play calling in big games and he will manage our roster better.
