May just be for Alumni Assoc. but it reads like all tailgates are cancelled. Might be Germans. Sorry if I jumped the gun.

This is just alumni although if I had to wager a guess tailgating will be extremely limited if any at all this season.

They will need to reduce tailgating area by 50% but i just don’t see a way they can stop it entirely. It will happen naturally as people come to the games

Rosebowl just posted that the only tailgate cancelled at State is the OFFICIAL tailgate at the Henry Hunter Center sponsored by the alumni association.

My guess is that they will only allow Southern Traditions and University set up tailgates this year. At least in the Junction area.

Must be social distancing for vehicles so they won't catch Covid. At least that'll put an end to door dings.

That statement came from the Alumni Association, not the athletic department or even the university.

I?m sure they coordinated on the idea but probably not the statement they put out.

It?s pretty easy to distinguish what came from where. If it?s a hailstate.com link, the athletic department wrote it. If it?s a msstate.edu link, the university wrote it. Granted, I realize the association is affiliated with the university, but I highly doubt that came from Sid Salter?s office or from our athletic media relations.

I listen to B'ham sports radio, they interpreted it as all tailgating. It has huge, breaking news to them, Wyatt and Rosebowl eventually provided clarification, but around thre country, "Tailgating Canceled At Mississippi State," was probably the lead.
