Knox, Nabors, maybe Shavers, Robertson, etc.....

It's about to be on!

In David Murray's interview with Leach last week, Leach said "Recruiting is going better than I even thought it would"

I see Big 12 type shootouts with Auburn, LSU, & A&M in the near future.

Find the typical MS defensive kids & fill in with JUCOs.

Defense no longer wins championships. What wins now is being able to score at a rate that puts pressure on the other team to keep up & forces them into mistakes

Notice I didn't put Bama. I believe we can score more than 24 on them when I see it.

I'm fascinated to see what a Mike Leach offense looks like someday with all 4 star WRs.

Just crazy to think about what type of talent he has had most of his career

It is a 180 in recruiting philosophy from what we are used to, but our WR is long overdue for a talent overhaul.

Same, was hoping to see some info on their bullshit team getting spanked by the NCAA. Auburn too.

I personally don't know exactly what to expect in the form of W's/L's, but I know we're about to be a hell of a lot more fun to watch and keep up with than previously. IF we add the talent we're talking about adding at the skill positions for this offense, then a lot of teams are not going to look forward to playing us. Does that translate into W's? We'll see, I think we will pick off one or 2 each year we shouldn't, we've just got to keep from losing too many "WTF" games at the same time. If the defensive staff can continue to recruit the usual type of guys we bring in, I think we *could* be a nightmare for a lot of teams on both sides of the ball. We're going to be throwing up some major points on defenses not named Bama and LSU & I think we will score more on those 2 than we're accustomed to. I've got concerns but at the same time, I can see the upside for this style of play on both sides of the ball and it's pretty high. It's very exciting to talk about though & that's something we've lacked for several years now as a program.

WOOL!!!

Also: What's this I heard about LSU's players not showing up to a mandatory work out last week? Anybody else hearing this?

Okay. This was a workout organized by the players and no one showed up.

I heard something a while back where someone said, " I don't know how many wins Mississippi State will get, but it's going to be hilarious to watch Costello throw for 500 yds on Bama even when they're down 20 because the world will love watching Saban have a meltdown on the sideline.

Ha, me too. LSU basketball should be worried as Auburn.

Imagine having an offense that averages let's say 42 points per game to go with a defense like our 2018 defense though. I think ideally it takes both.

And no I'm not saying that's what we will do under Leach consistently.

Not even the players that organized it showed up?

It was from a recent SDS article. It looks like some team leaders tried to get a voluntary workout together. The day of virtually nobody showed up so they cancelled it.

False. If they don?t score they don?t win period. Pretty simplistic way to look at it but it?s true. Don?t overreact to one year of LSU being a dominant offensive team. Burrow took the world by storm and the best DC in the country couldn?t stop them. We saw what Venables and co did to Tua and he was getting the burrow Level of hype that whole year. One side can?t do it without the other it?s what makes this the greatest game in the world.

This was replying to shotgun btw haha

We shouldn't accept recruits from outside the state of Mississippi. These young men need to do the right thing and play for their home schools. ***

Sorry, man. I had to laugh. LSU has 12 commits, 10 of them 4*, 10 of 12 from states not named Louisiana, (including Deion from Provine, most likely the best player in Mississippi)

Meanwhile ... MSU 9 commits (All 3* except one 4*) are mostly Miss kids, of the committed, ONLY two from OOS, the 2 QBs

They will get some of the 'best' in the country and 'fill in' with LA kids when they have some holes.

Don't get me wrong, I like the group committed BUT ...
