Looking at 24/7 most of our targets are mostly 3 stars which is definitely a downward trend. What's the deal? Is it too early to tell or is the basketball staff sleeping on the job.

Yeah, not good. Few names we are going hard after: Alden Applewhite, JD Davidson, Bretner Mutombo, Garrison Powell.

Nope. I don't know if you guys have paid attention to Howland & recruiting but he doesn't really get down into recruiting until the summer & start getting commitments until the fall. The last 4 classes he hasn't had a commit before the 4th of July & only 2 commits before September. If we're in September or October & no commits or leans then I'll worry. Also no AAU is affecting the rankings. Kids getting noticed & explode offers & rankings wise during the spring & summer AAU periods.

All college hoops commits are way behind Bc of no evaluation period in April. It's not just us.

Recruiting gonna get tougher now for Howland. No more 4 and 5 star legacies around to recruit at this point.

He did just sign a Top 50 non legacy this past class.

Is this the year they can only sign four?

Out of the 14 SEC schools, only 5 have a 2021 commitment right now. Kentucky doesn't even have one.

After seeing this team play the last few years, talent in 2021 is the least of my concerns.

Yeah getting back to the tourney in 2019, and finishing 4th in the SEC ( for the first time since this format) sucks...

This year was frustrating, and I do think we underachieved, but if you haven't been able to enjoy the last two years then MSU basketball is probably not for you. Just not going to be much payoff compared to the frustration.
