I believe the contract with Adidas ends this year. How do you think things such as... affect the new contract? They've definitely got the best of us over the past, at least, seven years.

-With a new offense and defense in football
-Mike Leach
-The basketball situation such as players leaving/coming, possibly not reaching tournament this year with the roster we had
-New women's basketball staff
-Not playing a full season in baseball this year
-Roster in baseball this coming year as of now
-And obviously. Covid-19
-etc

Won?t matter. They?ve been good to us. We appreciate their commitment to MSU. Yaw yaw yaw. Good ole boy good enough is good enough. We aren?t running our athletic department like a business anymore so we are going to change anything, make anything better, or market ourselves to see what is the best we can get. Got to keep things simple and simple minded. Things are scary when you go ta thinkin outside this here box.

I actually like most of our products with Adidas. They have been very good to us and have marketed us a premier school. Sure, we've had some interesting uniform choices over the years, but they also gave us our current football uniforms, which are the best since the 90s. And they let us go back to the 85's in baseball. Also, their interesting uniform choices birthed NickelBlack Sundays.

Personally, I hope we stay with Adidas. There's only one other SEC school (A&M) and I think we have a very fair contract with them. I have no interest in Under Armour (although Leach is buddies with the founder). Nike is the only other option but I DO think we get more $$ from Adidas. Adidas, to me, is just better quality that Nike as well.

Adidas is also sort of en vogue (in the Memphis area at least). Lots of the top AAU programs (like Hoop City) and travel baseball teams (like Dulin Dodgers) around here are currently Adidas.

My two cents.

Why the dislike of Adidas. I don't have an issue with them. We won't be going back to Nike so are you on board with UA?

UA has also been in financial trouble lately. I don't know if they would give a better financial deal. I also like our current Adidas stuff as well as any of the Nike stuff we used to get. We are also more of a priority for Adidas compared to always being a 2nd class citizen with Nike. It might be different now but isn't there a Ole Miss guy who is higher up in Nike also?

There was one with UA that I know of but he recently left UA and is back in the Memphis area now. He played football at Ole Miss. Not sure how high up but it was pretty high. I've never heard anything about Nike (could be I've just never heard of anyone there).

Walker Jones was with UA and at one time head of the college deals. He was let go repositioned something of that affect.
With Adidas we are one of there main schools and they do a lot for us. I kinda hope we stay with them

I'm not going to be upset if we stay with them but compared to what other schools are making, we should definitely be paid more in my opinion. Think about it, we are a top team in baseball and women's basketball. Have made it to a number one ranking in football (while that was a while ago, I think having Leach and his name recognition should bring more money/we're in the SEC and do pretty well), aren't bad at men's basketball. Other schools make more and can't list but one of those things.
Again I'm not saying go against Adidas but they should pay up.

While I too would like to think we should get more, what leverage do we have? Nike doesn't want us and we don't want them. So unless UA were to make a big push, which I highly doubt. What incentive does adidas have to pay us money money?
