on a new team?

Good thing that The Pirate's system is relatively simple.

I remember that game being close. After a google search.... damn 7point game in the 4th quarter. After WSU had many turnovers. JoMo and Tommy boy were in the fetal position and crying for mommy at halftime of their lone Auburn trip.

It might have been better. He would have had to cut the playbook in half. Who am I kidding. He'd have never done that

This scenario is easy to imagine, lol...

Well at least we know, the less of his system he could have installed the better.

I would be nervous if I were an Oregon fan.

The wild card is that Joe doesn't have to set the culture at Oregon & he won't be micromanaging everything.

We all love that Joe called recruits everyday, but how much time did that take away from him coaching the actual team?

Well, considering how things were quickly devolving here, I'm not sure he was doing either of those things, and his offense still sucked ass.

After 2 years here it still wasn't completely installed.

With everything that's happened, it's honestly even more fortunate we canned him when we did. Because had we not, you bet your ass we'd be stuck with him for 2021 as well

It would be total chaos. Not unlike what we saw last year. ;)

This is correct. I'm not sure Croom ever completely installed his offense.

And apparently Leach's offense take like 5 practices to install.

Funny how that works

Its a wonder why Franklin was so eager to help Joe get a HCing job**

Hard for your offense to look good when your coach is taking 40 seconds trying to decide what play to run.

I don't think it was an issue of our players not knowing the offense. I think it was more an issue of our players waiting on the play to come in.

It's hard to develop any kind of rhythm when you are waiting around every play too.

Seems this should be a basic interview question, “how many years will it take to install your offense?”

This will not help either.

https://thehill.com/homenews/state-watch/496766-oregon-governor-fans-likely-wont-be-able-to-attend-state-sporting-events

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown (D) on Thursday signaled that sporting events in the state most likely wouldn't include fans until October at the earliest because of the coronavirus pandemic.
....

As we approach football season, we can see how the disease is behaving in our community and what kinds of steps can be taken around the teams themselves, coaches and others around the team, to see if they can safely start, but as you heard from the governor?s remarks, large gatherings will likely not be happening through the end of September," Sidelinger continued.
