Am I wrong or were there not talks of him being a mid round draft draft selection? I figured he would be drafted before Tommy Stevens for sure.

My guess is that it’s medically related.

He went down injured in almost every game this season. There’s likely a recurring reason for that.

I do get that and it makes sense but by that same token how in the world did Tommy Stevens get drafted?

Because he fit a need

There was a thread about this I think. He is a tremendous athlete and I think he is hoping to catch on in the Taysom Hill role.

I believe I saw him as high as early 2nd round/late 1st round at points in mocks. For him to go undrafted though there has to be something else there. I also saw where Chauncey Rivers and Guidry were mocked in the middle rounds.

Hard to meet a need of any kind when you are always injured.

Did he sign as free agent?

Anybody that said those two were in the middle rounds ever is why you don't believe MOST mock drafts.
As for Williams, his medical stuff played a role.

Because the Saints have no true backup QB, Taysom Hill is not. When Stevens is healthy, he ain't bad.

Williams made out good. Feels like KC targeted him

Is that a 1-year deal? I'm really not knowledgeable at all on these UDFA deals

I would guess yes. That legit for an UDFA. Means he was highly sought after and had a market

If 1 year, that's a very nice deal

Chiefs loving some Bulldogs but they got a talented FA.

He can only play center. He's limited by his length and as some have said, he's had injury issues. He's an effort guy and a leader. He'll hang on in the league if he stays healthy.
