If he's planning to stay in then he got a 1st rd guarantee from some team.

Welp, next year gonna be tough unless some front court guys really step up or howland hits a HR on a transfer

Next year is going to be rough, unless he gets a couple of huge transfers.

Yeah we're gonna suck next year

He's not saying he's planning to stay, he's leaving the door open. Personally, I'd be very surprised if someone takes him in the 1st.

Love Woodard and the work ethic he brings to the college game. I don't think he is one of the top 32 College BB players that are trying to go to the NBA this year. Personally, hope he comes back for another year.

Perry is one of the 32.

we need to run and gun next year. Not really Howland's preferred style.

Y'all haven't been paying attention to literally every mock draft. I have not seen one that doesn't have him in the first round.

2 potential NBA draft picks and we were probably not making the NCAA tourney this year - let that sink in

I am also surprised he's being viewed as a first rounder. He's my favorite player on the team so was really hoping to watch him shine next year, but just thought he need a touch more growth. Happy for him if he gets that first round pick.

I have no idea who the best draft sites are, but these were the 1st 3 that popped up with a search. None have Woodard in 1st

Agree, don't see first round this year although this is a weird year with virus stuff. He could go based on the big P word - potential. Lots of players didn't get their chance to showout in March madness.

Hope he comes back; he can certainly be a first rounder next year.

I've seen him listed in the 1st round on a few sites. I'll try to find them.. Woodard's game translates well though, he is big and physical but also have a soft touch, he will be a 3 and D guy. He can easily slip into the 1st round

Both of these have him going 24th and 25th 1st round. The ESPN mock draft has him in there 1st round also. With his work ethic, size and upside, someone will pick him up in the 1st round, most have him ahead of Perry

Can't he enter the draft get grades and ten come back as long as he doesn't hire an agent?

He did that last year and you can only do it once. There is a date before the draft that you can back out and come back if you don't hire an agent. m I suspect that some team has back channeled that they will pick him.

Woodard has better projectability long term in the NBA than Perry does. Perry isn't gonna bang down low terribly successfully at his size in the NBA. But he also doesn't have a well defined mid range/outside game.

Woodard can do it all at his size. Woodard to me will have the better NBA career and will go first round.

This was the other one I was looking for, ESPN had Woodard going 24th in the 1st round

Any update on Woodard? Just looked at 5 mock drafts (1st 5 links on bing search), and none had Woodard as a 1st.

ETA... I know perry is gone for sure, but he was only listed in 1

I can’t blame them. At 20 years old i would have jumped at the chance to go make $100k and live in a European country. Plus those Euro girls are freeeeaaaks.

I hear you, hard to figure. I think we can be better with just a bunch of good college players. Same with some other teams. too.

Sounds to me like we had two second rounders at best.

I really am baffled at why Perry isn’t more highly thought of. He is at least an early 2nd rounder to me. I think he has first round talent.

He's soft and disappears at times.

His game isn't as well suited to today's NBA game. He's more of a traditional big and is not super athletic. At about 6'9" he's actually undersized a bit as well.
