(1) seems wrong to put so many players on a roster with just 3 coaches
(2) seems that JCs pitchers with cancelled seasons can optionally stay and complete that JC season start 13 games and develop, instead of pitching 2 innings vs Alcorn at MSU
(3) since all SEC teams will have overloaded rosters, there could be 2 JV games per SEC weekend
(4) Teams should be allowed some non RPI games vs D2 (William Carey, Mississippi College, Delta State, Belhaven, UNO)- for the development of Freshmen that did not get a Senior year of HS

The roster will be 35 for next year Plus whatever srs you had this year. They don't count. We have some tough tough decisions to make. All will.

So we have 5 srs. If all choose to rerun our max roster will be 40. If 4 come back it's 39 etc.

Yeah, I see that only Seniors are getting another year of eligibility. That's just a handful of extra players. Between returning seniors, non-drafted juniors, and non-drafted HS, this really the hurts the opportunities for many kids.

No everyone is getting another year per the NCAA but some leagues are saying no. But the rosters will be 35 + srs from 19. The big winner in this is juco baseball. The year after that and the subsequent years th w mid majors will be helped a ton.

To make it short and simple, Bc they are going to end up w draft guys that would have signed and guys that get cut that can really play. Decisions for staffs this fall are going to be brutal.

How many kids do you think we will have competing for 35 roster spots?

I think they are going to be lenient as far as who stays and who goes because of the circumstances so it's going to come down to who wants to play and who can be patient and whether playing baseball at MSU outweighs that or not.

I'm sure some will leave and some will stay.

That's fair. But, we have to decide who the 27 who are going to be on scholarship in August. W some jrs and signees, who you thought you were going to lose, come back, somebody else has to get chopped. Tough decisions have to be made, but you have to keep the best players no doubt.

Not sure but we will cut some guys loose before that. We only have 5 sr max roster will be 40 if they all choose to come back.
