This is leadership and a reasonable way of thinking.

I like this kid. He nails it.

It's ok to disagree with the tweet.

It's not OK to think someone who did something ignorant is racist.

He is making the point that a lot of people are making. I don’t think Leach posted the tweet with any ill intention, but it could be perceived as racially insensitive. Leach deleted it and apologized. At this point, it’s largely our fans and FL that have given this life. Him with a transfer, and our fans with this “how dare anybody find this offensive!! PC!!”

Exactly. I’m not going to tell someone they can’t be offended by something because I can’t control their feelings.

But I can ask you to evaluate if you are offended because of your internal bias or because something is clearly offensive. You have to be able to determine if reactions are reasonable or unreasonable against a logical standard. I overreact to crap all the time, so does everyone I know.

We are tending to forget that most people don’t look to be offensive to anyone.

We have a lot of people in Mississippi apparently looking to be offended. How can the context of a wife wanting to do her husband in because of being stuck at home together turn into a racial issue? I bet Leach relates hangings more to those done by justice in the old West than he does those done by the KKK in the South. We can't win for losing sometimes. I really hate Twitter.

I don't judge anyone that doesn't want to put in the work it takes to play football at this level, hell I wouldn't blame them, but if that shit made you do it, you might consider joining ANTIFA, or sexual reassignment surgery.

Completely agreed. Obviously Leach didn?t intend this to come across as racist. He felt moved to delete it and apologize, which I think was the right move. If Lovett wants to move on then I wish him luck, but I will never be convinced him transferring was simply due to this tweet.

And Dan Wolken saying that this was a good night for Lane Kiffin? Are you freaking kidding me? Yeah, Ole Miss: The bastion of amazing race relations. No problems there. Go on with that!

But our fans have not handled this the best. They are calling him names for speaking his mind and speaking out against something that offended him. News flash, if we start bashing all of our football players that want to voice an opinion, how are we different from the PC crowd that is offended by everything?

Maybe just tone it down with what the players say in social media.

Kiffin has a guy on his staff who let a kid die under his watch. Wolken is a moron

Any MSU players that transfer to Ole Miss because of a "racist" tweet from Leach are hypocrites and/or stupid.

True and it ain't just Miss. These days people are offended at the drop of a hat. Leach is a smart guy; his intention was solely at the strain of wife husband relationships during this time stuck at home. Folks need to get a sense of humor, lighten up and quick trying to turn everything into a racial issue.

Racism is a card played by a loser playing a losing hand.

Whatever sect of fans we have that are active on twitter apparently handle everything poorly. Wish we could get them off somehow but everytime an issue with a player pops up on twitter its the same ol' story that our fans on there somehow made the situation worse.

Twitter is a great communication tool when used correctly, but it can also give some people an unwarranted sense of importance and make them act and do stupid things.
