OT - Starkville Fishing Spots

I have a 6 year old daughter that loves to fish. Does anyone know of a good place to fish for me and my daughter around Starkville. We catch and release all our fish we catch. Fishing seems like a good way to get out of the house and social distance as well.

Ride the refuge. There are lots of little spots out there to fish. some large lakes and small ponds if I remember correctly.

Yeah what was that Dorman lake real easy to get to.

Are these areas around refuge safe considering the gators and such? Also, can you get to them without a boat?

There are walkways out to the water you can fish from. Also areas around the south side of the big lake. There is a separate lake on the southside of the property too.

I used to bass fish in Lake Chadwick back around '99/2000. Always had pretty good luck there.
