It's just crazy the way the winds flow.

Two biggest features are a couple of low pressure systems in the central and northern Plains. That's the two large counter clockwise motions you see. What's neat is out west seeing the winds funneled through the valleys of the mountain ranges.

What does all the wind that meets in central US on this map do? Seems it all sorta meets there, and doesn't leave

Kind of looks like there are two black holes sucking it all in.

Is this proof that Kansas sucks?*

Those are two areas of low pressure. It gets sucked in at the surface and low altitude and lifted up and then dissipated out at the high altitude. This map only shows surface winds so you can't see the other part. To imagine the wind flow draw a U on its side. The wind comes in on the bottom part, rises to the top, and then dissipates out the top.

2/3 of the wind ends up in Wisconsin

Is that Area 51 where all the wind appears to be going out from?
