Miss. State's 6-6 juco transfer Yemiyah Morris played exceptionally well off the bench for Miss. State in the SEC Women's Basketball Tourney (3 games). Check out this stat line.....
- 23 points
- 19 rebounds
- 10 blocks
- 58 minutes of playing time
Also, she blocked 3 shots against South Carolina, and helped hold A. Boston to 4 points.
Morris is continuing to get better and better, she's starting to emerge as a force in the post for Miss. State. I knew she could do it. Again...10 blocked shots off the bench in the SEC Tourney. You can actually see that shot blocking/rim protector mentality starting to surface on the court.
Coach Schaefer is gaining more and more confidence in Morris. They've been coaching/training her up to be a force in the paint, and are starting to see a good bit of the anticipated feedback. Coach Johnnie Harris getting it done.
