I am from Desoto county but I left before central existed. Are they pretty much the reason Southaven and Olive Branch have lost their once dominate stronghold on the nw mississippi area?

Well, you can count your HL Eagles a part of that demise a little....We won 2018 6A in football.....Class of '58

Horn Lake had that one good season. They've been mediocre to bad at football and baseball for 40 years.

To the original question...yes, Southaven and to a lesser extent OB, were baseball powerhouses but DC has kinda taken that mantle away. The area is a baseball hotbed, though. Lewisburg has been really good for a sustained period of time.

Damn, I wish I'd have known about this tournament. I only live 10 minutes from the Met.
