Early last season. Last year we were swinging at anything thrown toward the plate, resulting in the same thing we are seeing this year, pop ups, strike outs, short innings, etc.

It was frustrating as hell and had me worried. Finally, Lemonis mentioned that we were trying to be too aggressive and we started to adjust a little.

Hopefully, we make the same adjustments and start to improve. That said, this team?s offensive ceiling is considerably lower than last years.

And we did the same thing the year before with Henderson. Gautreau has said that he lets guys do it their way and if it doesn't work he makes adjustments once SEC play starts.

I don't like that philosophy but whatever.

I just wish they would walk to the plate ready to hit. If he grooves you a 0-0 fastball, hit that bastard to Memphis for god sakes... Now that doesn?t mean try to hit a 0-2 or 1-2 to Memphis, kinda like we have been trying, with every slider we have seen....
