Either name is appropriate. Lady Dawgs gives them some individuality, and avoids confusion with the men's team. There's nothing derogatory about the name. They've been the Lady Dawgs ever since the team was formed.

I agree there is nothing derogatory about being called the Lady Dawgs, but they haven't been the Lady Dawgs since Vic became coach. Most schools have removed the "Lady" in front of women's teams.

I think we still would’ve been a Top 4 seed had we lost, LSU is a Top 40 team so a loss wouldn’t have hurt us that bad. I kinda feel like today locked up at least a 3 seed though. If we can find a way to win the tournament we have a legit chance of grabbing a 2 seed.
