1) We made 8 more FTs than them, so no overall they didn't "get away" with fouling us and we didn't get that screwed by refs.

2) Carter went 4/5 from 3, 6/7 from the line, and 7/10 overall for 24 points. A bench player gave us 24 points 10-14 more than he usually does. We should have won with a night like that.

3) we outrebounded SC both offensively and defensively.

4) None of SCs players "went off". Kostar had 20 but he was 9/22; nobody else had more than 12. The point here is that EVERYONE was able to score a bit on us, and it wasn't some great individual play that we couldn't have accounted for. Everyone they put on the floor was equally as effective vs us.

5) SC wasn't hot from 3 by any stretch.

What does it mean when you shoot more FTs, get more rebounds, have a bench player go off, have none of the other team's players go off, their team overall isn't hot shooting.... and you still loose? Anyone know how you lose a game with all those advantages?

It's coaching fellas. It's having a team that doesn't know what to do on O so they turn it over, that doesn't know what to do on D so they give up easy baskets to nobodies. People can talk all day about how Howlands recruiting isn't better than many SEC teams so we shouldn't expect to win all that much... buddy SC's bench scored 31 on 12/21 shooting and it's full of nobodies. Don't tell me they're comparable to Perry, Woodard, Ado, etc. cause they aren't, yet they ate us up. Howland is the reason we lost.

P.S. not to bash on a player, but don't give me that "tweener" crap about Nick. He played like ass any way you slice it; 90% of true 2s in this league can run point better than him, and 90% of true 1s can shoot the 3 better too. Buddy if you look at the box score to determine if a game was called correctly you've already lost the debate. If you didn't watch I understand. Watching it will paint a better picture. South Carolina committed 35+ fouls tonight. Not near enough of them were called.

Add some bad tic tac and blatantly incorrect calls against Perry and Carter (our two players dominating when they were in) and the officiating is the story.

Bingo. Anyone that don't realize how fouls are called affect the game of basketball, don't know basketball or has never played. It was an issue last night. That was my fear going into this game at USC. They are famous for this at home. There were some stretches of foul calls on both ends that were criminal against us on 3-4 in a row. The touch fouls on their end and mugging on our end take a team out mentally if not literally from the game.

Not saying that is only reason we lose. We were lazy on D too much, poor execution at times. USC to get hot in spurts which was nail in coffin at the end.

You guys dissing on Nick makes me want to puke. are you same ones that constantly ragged on Q. Nick is our best on ball defender. At least twice last night he got hammered on a drive but no call. He would have had several assists if our post players would have caught the Ball and made lay-ups. shit , he set up Woodard and DJ for wide ass open 3s and they bricked them. We had several times to make baskets, but couldn't shoot. Having Reggie sitting out because of fouls is a killer. Carter has a habit of making stupid fouls. I hope Nick comes back and we play Him at the 2. He will be all-sec.

I agree with you, but when teams go on runs against us it?s due to LAZY defense. We don?t get back in transition, we play slow, poor weak side/help defense, and/or just completely out of position. Reggie jogs back on defense after a missed shot.
