somewhat similar to what we are seeing in baseball......Mullen and MSU had the momentum and then lose the Egg Bowl and Freeze proceeds to recruit his ass off....Now the majority of MSU fans appear to want Mullen out while Freeze is the savior of a program.....Bianco had the mo and then Cohen comes in and turns us around and then lands one of our best classes ever at MSU while UM fans want Bianco gone......Course, Freeze did it in much shorter time than Cohen but nonetheless.........Not sure any of this has shit to do with anything but the shifts are somewhat similar.......Historically speaking, both programs usually aren't good in the same season in football......

Dan is going to turn this season around, get to a bowl game and be here a long time.

You're right but that's probably just coincidence since neither program is usually very good anyway. What I'm saying is our current problems have little to do with the bears being on the upswing. Just like Nutt's downfall in Oxford had little to do with us being on the upswing in 2010. Mullen beating the bears in 2009 put some heat on Nutt, but Nutt's downward spiral had already begun before then and still would've happened even if we hadn't beaten them in '09. The best thing we can do is quit talking about them, comparing ourselves to them, etc. until the week of the Egg Bowl. It serves no purpose.
