This is awesome.

Many people think Bauer is a clown, but I love him. He's authentic. He's exactly who he makes himself out to be and it's tough to not at lease appreciate someone like that

Him and Garrett Cole are also the reason UCLA beat us in 2013 in Omaha...

except neither were on that team. Both were drafted in 2011

That 2013 loss was a pretty big failure compared to talent. We had near 7 or 8 Major Leaguers on the team & UCLA had about 3

That UCLA team was built for that park w/ that bat. We may have been the best overall team that year but UCLA in that setup was ungodly to deal with.

Well shit! I swore they were both on the 2013 team... Did they win it in 2011 then?

I can buy that to some degree & in a 3 games series, anyone can win, but we were the better team as time has proven

Do you not remember what 2013 was like with the deadened bats and Omaha being maybe the most pitcher friendly park in the nation? No one could hit. It came down to pitching and who could hit little looping singles. Pretty sure there was 3 home runs in that entire CWS.

Made for extremely dull baseball. No one could hit it out and UCLA pitched to get us to crank balls. The wind rolling in killed almost every fly ball. Was the perfect disaster of a recipe. UCLA was built on speed / defense / pitching. Batted like .250 as a team that year. That bat gave them the title. We may have lost to a different team with a different bat, but UCLA would not have made it anywhere close without that bat.

They went to the CWS Final in 2010 and got beat by the Cocks. Yes, in 2011 they lost to UC-Irvine in their own regional.
