Ran a 4.64

That would make him the slowest CB in the NFL

Hopefully he can do better than that

He had a misstep on the start of both 40 times. Whoever he worked with should have trained him better.

Judging by our pass defense this year, he had a lot of missteps there as well

Dude was a really good lockdown CFB corner. Get out with that noise. That said, a 4.64 is going to kill him on draft day. Expect a huge slide

That 4.64 won't hold. It will get fixed by his Pro Day.

I'm pretty sure I remember hearing a few weeks ago that opponents' QBR this year when Dantzler was the primary coverage on the targeted receiver was in the teens. Whatever our issues with pass defense were, he wasn't part of it.

No doubt. All this combine crap is overblown by the NFL. It's like they forgot that being able to actually play football was important.

It's not overblown. If he can't run a good time he's falling like a rock. He's not getting favorable grades from several teams anyway. Had he run a great time, he could've been a rd 2 pick. He's likely a rd 4+ pick with that time.

Ya everybody will run a better 40 when its hand timed but that will not fix it. I’m not saying this is costing him a career or anything but it is def gonna cost him a lot of money initially

Thats Safety speed- not CB. That is going to sink him hard in the draft

forty time is extremely important for DB's and WR's.

Definitely suboptimal....Banks ran a 4.6 at the combine too. Like Dantzler, he was one of the best DBs in CFB..... On the other hand, Slay, who was not as hyped in college but clocked a 4.3 at the combine is a pro-bowler. It's a cliche as old as football, "can't teach speed".

Speed matters. It shows in we and db plus lb and te. It is an indicator.

Meh. How did Jerry Rice and Tom Brady do at the combine?

I don't hate him but he's not near the top of my list of favorite Bulldogs ever.

Quit on his team & didn't suit in some games where he was healthy enough to play.

Frankly, regardless of what the stats say, he's never looked like an real NFL CB too me. Not twitchy enough & didn't have that type of burst.

I could care less what #6 and #3 do in their NFL careers.

That’s slower than NFL full backs and blocking TEs. Too bad the Full Back in the NFL is like Triceratops in nature, they are extinct

Dantzler doesn't have Jerry Rice production. Brady was a 6th round pick.

If he can't get a faster time on pro day then he is going to like the 4th round or later. The only one that should've left early is Willie. Kind of reminds me of Jrob and Bear. Both of those guys should've stayed 1 more year.

Also, i thought there was a new rule where they could test out the NFL and come back if they don't sign with an agent?
