I saw where, Coach Schaefer fairly recently went to see a class of 2021 point guard named Jada Walker play. She was the MVP of the Geico Girls Basketball National Championship Game last year, led New Hope Academy (Maryland) to the national championship win over St. John's (Washington DC) team. Also she's a former USA teamate of Rickea Jackson.

Coaching staff has been looking at some class 2021 Houston, Texas area kids. Has already signed DeYona' Gaston out of Pearland, and currently looking at some other players from the area. Offered a Houston point guard (Rori Harmon) this month.

Staff has been looking at a class 2021post player out of California, other players from various places as well.

Also, Coach Schaefer indicated recently that he was not looking to add another post player for next season (2020-21), and that the team would depend on Yemiyah Morris and Sidney Cooks to hold things down at center. Didn't indicate a starter out of these 2. Talked about Cooks being utilized on the perimeter as well, and possibly switching positions with Jessika Carter if need be.

Indicated that Coach Harris was working
with Yemiyah Morris, and spoke about the first season after transferring in from junior college normally being tough...also, Miss. State being a good situation for her to be in, develop, but needing her to be on the fast track. Talked needing Morris to step up the rest of this season....needing more help for Carter.
