it doesn't appear that your Lord was too happy about it. Wouldn't even let him say goodbye.

I'm happy for Cochran... He put in more than enough time and was an integral part of Bammer's success... I hope he's a HC some day...

Like Tha Bahr said, "I love to lose em."

Probably because Smart has taken a lot of Bama assistants. I'm kind of surprised that Cochran has been given an on the field coaching job considering he has as far as I can tell no experience and is so good at S&C and now he won't be able to have total S&C access because of his on the field coaching status.

Plus didn't Bama pay him in the millions to be their S&C coach? Maybe he has made enough he can chase a dream. It will be fascinating to see how this works out.

Yup, even the GA folks can't figure it out... Cochran was makin' close to a Mil at Bammer...

Cat wants to be an "on the field type coach"... but they don't have an open position...

I wish him the best, and if UGA beats out Merlins for the West this year, it'd make for and interesting SECCG...

It looks to me like he is replacing Scott Fountain their special teams coach and that they did have an open on the field position.

It would have made more sense for him to be an intern under someone like Fountain and remain "off the field" while learning how to coach and then he could have contributed to S&C.

I was listening to this this am over here in Georgia and some bama guy said he was very much an active part of their on field coaching and had access everyday to the team ... so it sounded like he does have experience

I'd be shocked if Bama doesn't hire Feld.

The entire family is from Homewood, AL
