I know it's propaganda. But I really like what I'm seeing though in that the team seems to be more cohesive during workouts and they seem to be enjoying it.

That tells me that:

1. The individual selfishness is hopefully going away and we are going to see more of a TEAM next year.

2. The are enjoying what they are doing because they are seeing early results and they know that Brown is capable and getting them better as players.

Very excited about next football season.

They are working their butts off. Players have either a morning or afternoon run, positions rotate and all have a midday lift. Really scary part is they are about to add another level.

They are doing a S&C program that?s about to be more than we?ve ever seen in Starkville.

Are they doing distance running one day and then doing something like a stadium run the next or something similar to that?

Stadium run is only thing of distance, if I?m understanding your question correctly. Rest is resistance running and sprints. But yes it does alternate.

Thanks! We're on the same page.

does anyone know the specifics of the main things we are doing differently this year?

Yea man ... I think this year we're running, lifting, and doing speed, power, and agility drills. Last year I think we went to the water park instead ****

I'm basing this off of videos that MSU has put out. And yes there were a couple from last year. Or at least one from last year. So my perception based off of that is we are doing a lot more endurance type training- running the stadium and we are doing the training in harsher conditions- more outside, outside in the rain, and it's more intense. The video from last year I noticed that some of it appeared to be indoors and appeared to be more just weight room focused. At least that's what they have shown this year compared to last.

We appear to be doing things geared to making us more athletic than last year too. More dynamic drills and things like that.

Its apparent to me that MSU is making a concerted effort to let the fans know that shit has changed and our guys actually are now made to work hard in the off-season. That should never change, regardless of coach.
