I'd love one of him with the two hand lob dunk against Unconn. Dude was fun to watch. That 96 team was tough as nails.

Back in the 90's I bought a civil war union kepi from a civil war antique shop in Nashville. I didn't really think it was real. I paid 475.00 for it back then. A few weeks ago I sent it to see if it was real and get a appraisal of it. I got the news yesterday that it was real and worth between 1800.00 to 2000.00.

Well this ain’t really worth much monetarily. Just sentimental childhood glory. That Final Four run was amazing

96' team was a 5 seed- just like last season

It's a piece of history. It was actually wore by a soldier during the civil war. If he said it was only worth 200.00 I still be happy. You don't find those thing too often. However I can find basketball cards and posters anywhere and mail it to the guy and ask him to sign it. Just saying.

That season forever the best. That is a great poster.

Jack, we need a thread about things we bought or found that turned into a surprise value. I bought an original Atlas Shrugged book published in the 50's for $3 at an antique store. The value changes but at one time was offered $800 for it.

uh, no. nope. there are 5 seeds and then there are 5 seeds. making a comparison in any shape form or fashion is nauseating to think about.

Of course if you would have invested that 475 dollars in say 1995, today it would be worth around 475*2*2*2*1.25 = $4750

Well technically there are 5 seeds that lose and 5 seeds that win. They are not the same.

Good argument...

How about the 5 seed in 02-03 with Zimmerman,Austin,Bowers that lost to Butler in the first round. Glory years right?

You totally misunderstood. I meant this isn’t worth much monetarily as in the Dontae Jones signed 8x10. Not many folks outside of MSU folks would care. I wasn’t talking about your confederate uniform. I was saying the DJ piece is sentimental and your greys are actually worth some money.
