One more week of regular season in the largest classifications in Mississippi.

6A Region 1
South Panola has clinched #1 seed
Tupelo has clinched the #2 seed
Grenada is the likely #3 seed
Desoto Central is the likely #4 seed (can be #3 seed with win over South Panola and Grenada loss to Hernando)

Olive Branch is out of the playoffs, even with a win over Tupelo.

6A Region 2
Warren Central upset Starkville last night, so there is currently a 3 way tie for the #1 seed at 5-1 with Starkville, Madison Central and Warren Central
Starkville plays Clinton, Madison plays Greenville and Warren Central plays Columbus - all are likely to win. If that happens:

Madison wins the tiebreaker
Starkville will be the #2 seed
Warren Central the #3 seed

Four teams vying for the #4 seed as well.
Murrah is 3-3, they play Northwest Rankin, who is 2-4. If Murrah wins, they are the #4 seed.
Columbus and Clinton are also 2-4, but have tougher games and Columbus has no chances to win tie-breaker

If NWR beats Murrah, Clinton loses to Starkville and Columbus loses to WC, NWR is the #4 seed (NWR H2H over Murrah)
If NWR beats Murrah, Clinton beats Starkville and Columbus loses to WC, Clinton is the #4 seed
If NWR beats Murrah, Clinton loses and Columbus wins, NWR is the #4 seed (NWR 2-0 against tied teams)
If NWR beats Murrah, Clinton wins and Columbus wins, NWR is the #4 seed (NWR and Murrah 2-1 against tied teams, NWR wins H2H)
But again, if NWR loses to Murrah, in every scenario, Murrah is the #4 seed

6A Region 3
Brandon is likely the #1 seed, as they play 2-8 Provine to close out the year.
Oak Grove is likely the #2 seed, they play Jim Hill.
Meridian is likely the #3 seed, they play Forest Hill
Petal plays Terry for the #4 seed.

An upset could affect the order (e.g. Oak Grove can get the #1 seed with a win and a Brandon loss), but these are the five teams that have a shot.

6A Region 4
D'Iberville has the tiebreaker over Gulfport for the #1 seed, but D'Iberville has a tougher game to close with with St. Martin while Gulfport has Biloxi.
Hattiesburg (4-2), St. Martin (3-3) and Harrison Central (3-3) are all vying for the final playoff spot.
Hattiesburg has a winnable game against Ocean Springs and Harrison Central plays hapless Hancock. St. Martin has tiebreaker over Harrison Central so they are in if they take out D'iberville.

What happened to Olive Branch besides their QB getting knocked out for the year?

6A looks wide open to me.

Likely quarterfinal match ups:

South Panola at Starkville
Tupelo at Madison Central
Brandon at Gulfport
Oak Grove at D'iberville

Wide Open to say the least.
