Pretty similar to the other thread about the D. For those that want to watch it this is what it will look like. What is really interesting is that Iowa State is running the 3-3-5 as well except they are more creative with it than most anyone else in the country. They can get pressure pretty much whenever they feel like it.
Leach answers this with tunnel screens and mesh. Iowa St struggled to stop it all game. I would be willing to bet that when Leach adds a tag onto a play he is close to hitting it 100 percent of the time. They ran smash several times, then tagged a post onto it and hit Iowa St for 2 big TDs down the field in this game.
Notice how many catches the RB gets. They cant cover everyone. If they cover the RB they cant stop the QB from pulling it down. Iowa St does a pretty good job in the redzone against them but if you have good players (we do) you just have to let them go make a play and Minshew did quite a lot in this game.
