Yeah, this is where I am too. We played 3 average to below average teams at home and beat them, so now everyone forgets the 0-3 start and how we played on the road. I have a feeling this board will be littered with "we need to make a change" threads by around 3:00 pm this afternoon.

We won't fire him after this year, but we will almost certainly be worse next year without Perry and Carter and then who knows? That's why its almost unacceptable to miss the tourney this year because the odds are REALLY low that we make it next year.

The ONLY reason I would give him the benefit of the doubt is because we probably can't do any better. Our program really doesn't deserve a really good coach because our fanbase nor our students really support men's basketball any more. We are very fortunate we had some good legacy recruits available all about the same time or we would not even be as good as we are. Our team is poorly coached though and we are not getting the most out of the talent we do have. Just is what it is.

Howland's start to games is actually very similar to Moorhead's starts to games. Offense doesn't do well, put us in an early hole, and we have to try and climb out.

Unfortunately I can't either. They acquitted themselves and came back but my thing is they never should have been down 15 to begin with. The refs were out for Perry for some reason. Just to show how much talent they have if they played Baylor at home they would be a 3.5 point underdog to the #1 team in that nation.

I just don't enjoy watching our brand of basketball. It's as simple as that. The men's basketball program doesn't match the identity of what made other State teams (in all sports) easy to root for in the past. That's the disconnect between the fans and team IMO

Our brand has not been the same since Rick Stansbury was removed. We longer they play an exciting brand of basketball especially on the offensive sideof the ball. Watching our games can be so frustrating because the offensive philosophy is so out-dated. We are going to barely make the Nit tournament. What a shame. I miss the days of Richard Williams and Rick Stansbury.

Seems like in current AP Top 25 I see ... Baylor, Gonzaga, San Diego St., Florida St., Dayton (that's just top 10). Then there are Seton Hall, Oregon, Butler, W. Va, AU, Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, Rutgers, Houston.

That's 15 of top 25 and none are really blue bloods. Oklahoma isn't a blue blood in hoops.

Its not as fun to watch anymore plus the entire game is sleazy. The fact that LSU is even allowed to continue to play basketball and lead the conference again this year is a disgusting joke. Their coach should have already been banned by the NCAA.
