Coach O could possibly be a good head coach for USC, but due to political reasons Pat Haden simply can't offer him the job if far more proven and successful coaches want the job, which they will.

Through this however, Coach O may be able to land a gig at slightly smaller job.

I agree with you. If ed o makes it big at another school and Haden's hire bombs, Haden puts himself squarely on the hot seat

To think OM last to HC's could land other coaching gigs. Nutt to UCONN and the Orgeron TBD.
To add fuel to the fire and this is purely hypothetical, Turner lands another DL job and Mullen hires Orgeron
