dynasties go? 3 titles in 4 years would put them at the top of my 56 years I think. That's shorter term dynasties. Alabama, Ohio State, and Oklahoma would get my nod overall still. They may have some down years but they always come back after a year or two. Notre Dame used to be in that group, but it's been too long for them now. USC is close but the gaps between their great stretches are just a bit too long. That's over my 56 years.

I'm not totally sure how to rank dynasties.

I think Clemson is the best coached program of all time when you consider their staff continuity & everyone being on the same page.

I also think their schedule somewhat diminishes they're overall accomplishments. Clemson is simply able to save things from getting on film that all the SEC teams have to show to win games during the season

If Clemson wins this than Dabo officially passes Saban as best college coach on the planet.

He gets dinged for the ACC. Easier path and less #'s of titles. He has to get to 6 in my opinion to have that conversation.

He also has a good bit less talent on paper though

He doesn't have less talent. He never has since they started winning big. He has had extremely talented teams.

I agree. 2009 2011 2012... plus two more for Saban.

If they win it will be the best Sr class in the history of college football. 3 titles in 4 years. Never been done before.

It looks like it's a moot point.

Idk. Saban has 2 out of the last 4. Saban's path to the playoffs is much tougher

What makes Saban's path so difficult. His OOC is much worse than Clemson's. He plays TN and another sop East team every year. In 2017 he had Natty handed to him.

Saban's path to stockpiling talent is easier to. And Saban has never beaten a top 10 AU team. And SEC W wasn't what it was in 2014 either

We'll just disagree. Saban is still the best imo

Man, I'm sure glad that Clemson Dynasty is dead... Whew...

They were making college football boring.... We need more parity...

I don't feel strongly enough that Dabo has taken that mantle that I'm going to argue about it, but Clemson has had slightly more success in the last 5 years, and doing it at Clemson is a different animal than doing it at Alabama.

I didn't think it was possible to build a program like Clemson to that level, and Dabo's done it. And that team will be better next year, I think they're the favorites to win it all next year.

He did it at Bama.

Bama sucked when he got there. Lsu sucked when he got there and LSU sucked for a while.

Yeah, but they're still easier to build.

Dabo doing it at Clemson would be akin to Saban doing it at Michigan State.

Maybe, but LSU hasn't won a natty since the 50s. I think building LSU was equal to building Clemson
