Minshew throws for 58% for 2 years at ECU then 70.7% with Leach. Why can?t Shrader see that jump?

He potentially can. Granted, Minshew is an NFL starting QB now and one of the best that Leach ever coached. But sure, Shrader is capable of making a big jump.

Yes, after a year with Leach. He never put up numbers like that before WSU.

IMO from what I've read/watched/learned ... Leach makes QBs better if it is possible at all.

True. The system helped Minshew. But you have to give the kid credit also. Most have no idea how hard that kid worked to make himself better. He never took a day off from trying to get better.

Leaches O is very simple and the reads post snap aren't complicated. That means whoever the QB is can play fast and lose and just sling it with confidence. Any QB will be better when they know they're making the right throw vs when they're still trying to process info

Most here don't realize how much difference an attitude like that makes. It's all in what are you willing to give.

Exactly. Shrader has all the talent in the world but is he gonna work hard enough to develop that potential? Up to him and anyone we have for that matter

Exactly, everybody at this level has talent, it's up to you if you're willing to make the most of it or not.

If I were KT and Mayden, I would take turns throwing all off season with the receivers. 50 throws a day.

Go get Ty Keyes. Redshirt him and watch the offense take off. He's perfect in this offense and gives you mobility too. It's a no brainer.

The system breeds rhythm, timing, & comfort in the pocket because everyone does it so damn often.

The QBs will get better & the WRs will improve virtually over night

Ha, I know what you mean, but 50 throws is a pre practice warm up

We'll get him.

I think QB & WR recruiting are about to take off. Southern kids have never had the option of playing in this type offense. It's going to attract kids

Because he is not a gym rat or loves it like Minshew does. I like Shrader he is tough, has some Dawg in him but he has some growing up to do

None of them are gonna outwork Rogers

I've been scratching my head on everyone anointing Shrader as the starter. I'm not sure he will be.
